Characterisitics application:
The polymer produced by Lubrizol is a kind of high-efficiency gel matrix agent which is used to control the drug releasing rate in tablets, capsules and various kinds of particle systems.
Carbopol 971P, 71G, 974P used with other framework material (for example hydroxymethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium alginate) can realize releasing characteristics needed. Carbopol polymer is supplied in two forms as powder and particle which can be used in all kinds of tablets, and pulverous. Carbopol polymer can be effective to a variety of granulation technology. 71G is a sort of free flowing product and can also used in direct compression. Carbopol can act as taste mask agent in oral suspension preparation which owns biological adhesion. It maintains stable in a wide range of Ph value and can endure repeated freezing and defrosting, meanwhile remains stable under high-pressure.
